I want to start using Assembly right away without calibrating my die.
  
For the most part this is Okay. Although, you will need to at least create a die before using assembly. When you transfer a part back to 3D or XYZ it will bring in the information for your tool. If the tooling has been updated it will automatically catch this.

I want to start using Assembly right away without calibrating my die.

For the most part this is okay. Although, you will need to at least create a die before using assembly. When you transfer a part back to "Custom 3D Part" or "XYZ" it will bring in the information for your tool. If the tooling has been updated it will automatically catch this.
