Bend-Tech Tube Skinning Process:

The development staff at Bend-Tech LLC uses the points below on a 3D tube to lay it out in an unwrapped, or skinned version shown in the flat layout image below.

As you can see, the Top of the tube is the point where it's split, allowing for the top and bottom of the flat layout to share the same line (Top).
